Card Challenge: KCC9 Birthday Cards #10

Today I am sharing card 10 in my Kendra’s Card Challenge #9 (KCC9) series. To learn more about this series/challenge and see card #1 click here.

I layered the patterned paper on the pink cardstock. Then when selecting my shape, I decided to echo the stars on the patterned paper rather than use the heart shape in the card sketch. I finished it all off with a sentiment directly stamped onto the patterned paper.

Baby Girl Baptism

This past weekend I got to celebrate the baptism of my niece. To commemorate the occasion, I made this simple and shiny card.

I started with white card base that has a panel popped up using foam squares. I added texture by using white ribbon and pink mulberry paper. The mulberry paper is a specialty paper that has a beautiful and unique pattern. I heat embossed the background pattern and layered with shiny cardstock. I love how the shine of the cross makes the dove pop. The card is finished with a simple sentiment.

Card Challenge: KCC9 Birthday Cards #9

I chose to use the stamp set “Birthday Buds” for my Kendra’s Card Challenge #9 (KCC9) series and I used every stamp at least once. Today’s card highlights the camouflaged hedgehog. To learn more about this series/challenge and see card #1 click here.

I started by layering the solid and patterned paper. The hedgehog was colored with copic markers in a color palette similar to the patterned paper candles. To tie it all together, I added a sentiment banner and gems.

Card Challenge: KCC9 Birthday Cards #8

Today’s card highlights a sentiment in my 8th card of my Kendra’s Card Challenge #9 (KCC9) series. To learn more about this series/challenge and see card #1 click here.

The patterned paper I used had a lot of fun colors already that I didn’t want my center image to overwhelm it. Instead I chose to highlight one of the fun sentiments in the Birthday buds stamp set. I love the simplicity – sometimes less really is more!

Card Challenge: KCC9 Birthday Cards #7

For card #7 in my Kendra’s Card Challenge #9 (KCC9) series I have a fun card with a partying pig. To learn more about this series/challenge and see card #1 click here.

I started with the guava cardstock to frame the patterned paper and the party pig. The circle die and strip are from 2 separate die sets, but I loved how the burst shapes complemented each other. I chose to leave off a sentiment since there are a lot of fun patterns and shapes.
